Use of Non-Active Biocatalysts in Feedlot Operations

Feedlots face important environmental and cattle health problems, namely odor, flies and emissions of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and other unwanted compounds.

The Non-Active Biocatalysts as OrTec will solve most of these problems offering a new safe, efficient and cost-effective way to treat them.

Non-Active Biocatalysts accelerate the composting process, and eradicate unpleasant odors, reduce the insect population like flies, sparkling beetles and spiders, consequently reducing the use of pesticides or products that have to be introduced into the animal feed.

If the feedlot has already installed a spraying system for dust abatement in the pens, this new product should simply be injected into the water stream. This characteristic allows treating feedlots without affecting or upsetting the animals.

Non-active biocatalysts are completely safe and non-hazardous to animals, humans and plants. At the same time they are the most economical and environmentally friendly solution to feedlot problems.
